Here's a lucid dream of an article on the artist known for his melting timepieces and eccentric moustache: "Salvador Dali – Reluctant Filmmaker" by James Bigwood, which appeared in the November 1979 American Film™ a decade before the surrealist painter's death in his native Spain. Dali, a fixture on American late night TV talk shows in the '70s, had a long history of filmmaking in Europe and the U.S., and Bigwood covers his collaborations with, among others, Harpo Marx, Walt Disney and Alfred Hitchcock. For a supplemental dose of surreality, watch Dali with Daly (host John, that is) from TV's WHAT'S MY LINE? here.
